At World Fuel , we power global aviation operations for thousands of customers worldwide. As an Equipment Operations Manager , you will play a critical role in ensuring our customers have the equipment, service, and operational support they need to operate safely and efficiently.
This is a highly visible, customer-facing role combining operations, equipment management, and relationship ownership . You will work closely with customers, vendors, and internal teams to coordinate refueling equipment, support field operations, and ensure a best-in-class customer experience.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys solving problems hands-on, and is comfortable traveling to support customers on site when needed.
Responsibilities
Customer and Equipment Management
Serve as a primary point of contact for customers regarding refueling equipment and operational support
Coordinate repairs, maintenance, and service for leased and customer-owned refueling equipment
Support onboarding of new customers by ensuring proper equipment setup and readiness
Operational Coordination
Manage the deployment and transportation of refueling equipment to customer locations
Work with vendors and internal teams to ensure equipment is placed into service efficiently
Troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues in partnership with technical teams
Account Support and Business Operations
Partner with Sales and internal teams to recommend and deliver the right equipment solutions
Maintain customer and equipment data in CRM and internal systems
Oversee equipment tracking, parts management, and customer billing for leased equipment
Support monthly billing processes and ongoing account administration
White Plains Fuel Storage Operations
Oversee fuel storage operations, including inventory management and maintenance
Support month-end close processes and cost tracking
Maintain relationships with key stakeholders including Avports and Westchester County
Provide support for deicing operations, including inventory reconciliation and customer needs
Travel and Field Support
Travel to customer sites to support equipment deployments, vendor coordination, and operational execution
Represent World Fuel at industry events and customer engagements
What You Bring
Required
7 to 10+ years of experience in aviation, FBO operations, airport operations, or equipment-focused logistics
Strong customer-facing experience with a focus on service, problem-solving, and relationship management
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, operational environment
Strong communication and coordination skills across internal and external stakeholders
Comfort troubleshooting equipment or coordinating technical solutions with vendors
Willingness to travel regularly, including on-site customer support
Preferred
Experience working with aviation refueling equipment or fuel storage systems
Knowledge of deicing operations and aviation fuel handling
Familiarity with aviation regulations and safety standards
Experience with CRM systems and operational tools
