Together, we enable our customers to produce the materials needed for a better future. Sales Engineer Responsibilities Advance forward the PCV sales growth initiative. Develop and implement strategy to grow sales and Pump, Valve and Cyclone installation base in defined sales territory. Foster an environment of customer intimacy by putting the needs of the customer first, clear communication, and timely in efforts. Responsible for growth of Order Intake (OI) and maintenance of Contribution Margin (CM) in territory to achieve PCV sales targets. In addition to meeting or exceeding Order Intake (OI) targets achieve any other KPI targets set. Engage in requisite technical product training to become a valuable client resource for cyclones, pumps, and valves. Work with inside sales, product line management to develop value propositions for complex proposals that help differentiate FLSmidth from our competitors. Where appropriate, work with Regional Service Centers to manage/implement formal repair programs and identify opportunities to drive more service work. Manages indirect relationships with authorized distributors, sales agents, and channel partners within territory. Responsible for driving 3rd party performance including rep addition, subtraction, and/or replacement. Review proposals generated by inside sales to ensure they are both correct and sufficiently sales savvy. Sales engineer is the owner of the pricing strategy and technically recommendations. Generate the requisite technical documentation to fully describe the scope of supply for purchase orders, along with ensuring the terms and conditions are corporate compliant. Review of order acknowledgements for accuracy. Ensure travel expenses are prudent, reasonable, and incurred in the interest of solid business objectives. Work with account receivables to help collect on overdue accounts and assist in the setting up of new accounts. Work collaboratively with members of the specialty applications, valve, and aggregate team to grow sales and service clients. Serve as client account manager under guidance of specialty applications manager. Participate in Miller Heiman sales training and keep all CRM Account Plan updated. Monitors, provides internal feedback, and supports improvement processes to improve customer satisfaction and service quality. Tracks warranty performance and supports organization's efforts to reduce warranty claims. Ensures adherence to FLSmidth's policies e.g., including Safety, Compliance and Rules of Engagement. Promotes a culture of personal and team safety, including others who may be affected by the company's operational activities. What you bring B.Sc. degree in Engineering discipline (e.g., Chemical, Metallurgical, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) preferred and 5+ years of industrial sales background, preferably in mining and minerals, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Understanding of pump & hydrocyclone mechanics, operating theory, and value drivers. Must be competent in account management, territory planning, negotiating T&C's / Contracts and be able to organize sales strategies and possess exceptional presentation skills. Excellent people skills with the ability to effectively communicate with customers. Ability to read engineering/mechanical drawings, flowsheets and understand various processes. Knowledge of competitor's equipment to help define value proposition for FLSmidth offering. Must be a self-starter and problem-solver who keeps the customers' best interests at heart. Communicates proactively & regularly with inside sales, product line engineering, and management teams. Employee will conduct visits to a variety of mining, mineral processing, metal, chemical, pulp/paper, power & oil/gas sites. Travel will include planned and emergency sales calls throughout the assigned territory. Work time will be: FLS or Home office: 40% Customer visit travel: 60%
