Post-secondary education related to business, economics, finance, and/or risk management; related experience or education may be considered as an equivalent
Professional designation in a related field an asset (e.g., PRM, FRM, ERP, CFA)
5-10+ years of experience in energy or commodity trading operations, analytics, or risk.
Strong understanding of trading products, valuation, risk metrics, and lifecycle processes.
Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives with minimal oversight.
Technical Skills:
Strong project management and organization skills
Comfort working in a fast paced, trader-driven environment
Professionalism, reliability, and ability to work collaboratively
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and ability to wiliness to learn to work with databases, SQL, APIs, Python, and work with large data sets.
Advanced ETRM system proficiency (preferably Allegro)
Data validation for trading, settlement, invoicing, and risk quantification
Advanced understanding of markets, commodities and trading concepts
Analytical curiosity and problem-solving mindset
Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies and exceptions
Highly effective communicator capable for developing consensus amongst broad perspectives
