We are looking for a passionate Community Director to join our team and make a difference. As a Community Director, you'll play a pivotal role in building community and driving results by diving deep into Hudson Valley Region, Big Apple Region and Manhattan Region, cultivating strong talent, aligning resources, and driving growth. SHAPING THE FUTURE FOR TEENS AND YOURSELF As a Community Director, responsibilities will include: Managing the health and viability of region, its programming and relationships. Deploying staff strategically to sustain activities across geographies. Traveling across New York to meet with the regional staff and support community programming Leading and motivating the team to achieve goals around membership, experiences, and participation. Devise and implement new strategies to hit these goals as a full team. Hiring, training and supervision of full-time BBYO teammates across the region. Developing, supporting and maximizing the performance of direct reports and ensuring a culture of accountability Developing direct reports with an expectation of high performance. Ensuring chapter and regional program is of the highest caliber. Oversee and execute strategies that increase chapter growth, strengthen membership recruitment and retention, and expand participation in summer experiences across the region. Serving as the final arbiter on compliance, discipline issues and parent concerns. Seeking out and developing relationships with parents, alumni and community partners (Federations, JCC) to mobilize more people to grow BBYO, and driving fundraising. Analyzing and tracking data to drive decision making Building a strong culture aligned with BBYO's Culture Credo Participating in organizational projects, teams, and summer programs as assigned to expand the movement and strengthen teen leadership. Navigating all financial activity in assigned regions, including creating a budget, tracking expenses, determining program fees, and reviewing/approving financial expenses. Oversee all aspects of vendor, venue, and hotel management, including sourcing, contract negotiation and execution, budget oversight, and ongoing relationship management to support regional operations and events ESSENTIAL SKILLS FOR MAKING A LASTING IMPACT Our team has an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for innovation to drive positive change. Additionally, the Community Director should have the following qualifications: Abilities : Experience with youth or teens is preferred Experience: 7+ years of work experience Education: A bachelor's degree or higher Management experience required. Must reside in the New York metro area. Ideal location is a candidate who resides in New York City or Westchester County Must have reliable transportation and ability to navigate territory independently to various jobsites throughout New York area Ability to travel as needed throughout New York, in addition to organization-wide events (Staff Conference and International Convention); and to staff a summer leadership program at a location in the U.S. for 2-3 weeks each summer. Ability to work non-traditional hours (some nights and weekends) when teens are available Unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. without holding a visa or sponsorship.
