Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical or Material Science
Minimum of 6 years of experience in manufacturing processes.
Interpersonal skills and the ability to operate effectively within a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated proficiency in communication (verbal and written), analytical thinking , organizatio n , and time management .
Previous managerial experience in an industrial, or related environment.
10 + years of experience with manufacturing processes.
Experience in materials manufacturing, preferably in the metals industry.
Minimum of 5 years of product inspection experience and familiarity with external customer requirements.
Proven a bility to drive results across multiple departments .

The salary range for this role is $ 100,000 to $ 140,000 . An employee's pay within the salary range will be based on numerous factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographic location and business or organizational needs.

Cleveland-Cliffs is seeking a Quality Section Manager to lead safety, quality, and environmental compliance while providing technical and metallurgical expertise within our Cleveland Works plant. This role drives product and process improvements, supports customer satisfaction, and leads cross-functional collaboration to enhance manufacturing performance and quality outcomes.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance and provide leadership for safety, quality, and environmental standards .
Collaborate effectively within a team environment, demonstrating clear and concise communication skills.
Provide metallurgical and technical support for product and process improvement through data analysis, problem solving, expertise in area of responsibility, metallurgical and mechanical concepts, and knowledge of customer operations and markets.
Meet with representatives of customers / processors to provide innovative solutions to quality and reliability issues and provides customers with timely warranty solutions.
Drive reduction and improve flow velocity by managing the disposition of distressed material in accordance with customer requirements, internal standards, and business objectives .
Recommend new technology to satisfy changing customer and marketplace demands.
Lead team activities within order design and order entry systems, including approving new orders, defining product capabilities, improving existing processes, and managing product trials.
Deliver technical solutions to internal and external stakeholders by leveraging a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and product capabilities.
Collaborate cross- functionally with operations, engineering, maintenance, and other technical teams to achieve performance goals.
Assist with Quality Systems Management tasks to support A2LA and IATF certifications.
