Demonstrate strong and visible HSSE leadership at all times.
Ensure full compliance with Shell Life Saving Rules, Operational Excellence requirements, and applicable legal and regulatory standards.
Act as incident commander or first line response leader during operational upsets and emergency situations.
Participate as a member of the Firefighting, Emergency Response, and Oil Spill Response teams, including required training and drills.
Participate in HSSE meetings and ensure accuracy, integrity, and currency of HSSE documentation.
Promote a proactive safety culture and intervene when unsafe acts or conditions are observed.
Ensure effective implementation of Permit to Work (PTW), isolations, and operational risk assessments.
Hold and maintain required HSSE certifications, including Lead Permit Issuer (LPI), Management of Change (MOC) competency, Authorized Gas Tester (AGT) - DOSH, Safety Coordinator - DOSH
Operational Delivery
Conduct all activities in line with Shell's Statement of General Business Principles.
Support the Terminal Manager in implementing the Business Controls Framework, ensuring adherence to Shell policies, standards, and procedures.
Backup Terminal Manager or TOS.
Support achievement of terminal KPIs, including timely preparation and submission of performance and compliance reports.
Participate in and comply with Business Continuity Plans (BCP) and Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP) to minimize operational disruptions.
Support identification of key operational risks using the Shell Risk Assessment Matrix and assist in development of mitigation action plans.
Participate in terminal initiatives and programs across HSSE, Road Transport, Asset Management, GSAP, Finance, and People agenda.
Supervise day to day activities of operators, guards, TOAs, and contractors, including on the job coaching and training where required.
Ensure all terminal personnel are trained, authorized, competent, and compliant with assigned roles.
Maintain Front Line Barrier Management (FLBM) competencies, including Asset Management System, Lead Permit Issuer, Emergency Response, Shore Officer
Maintenance & Projects delivery
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance efficiency, asset reliability, and cost governance.
Accountable for maintenance management activities including (but not limited to): Routine maintenance, Gantry and terminal mechanical systems, Firefighting equipment, Tanks, jetties, pipelines, Electrical systems and pumps, PRV/TRV, hoses, and surveillance systems
Oversee day to day maintenance execution through GSAP PM or equivalent CMMS.
Collaborate with Engineering on integrated OPEX and CA

The Maintenance Supervisor is accountable for providing safe, compliant, and reliable maintenance and operational support at terminal level, in line with Shell internal standards, Operational Excellence (OE), and external regulatory requirements.
The role provides maintenance leadership, operational coverage, and project interface oversight, supporting the Terminal Manager to maintain Terminal In Control (TiC), asset integrity, and continuity of operations-particularly during manpower shortages, operational upsets, and project execution phases.
