Measure and cut new covering materials, using patterns and measuring and cutting instruments, following sketches and design specifications. 2.9 Operate sewing machines or sew upholstery by hand to seam cushions and join various sections of covering material. 2.10 Read work orders, and apply knowledge and experience with materials in order to determine types and amounts of materials required to cover work pieces. 2.11 Remove covering, webbing, padding, and/or defective springs from work pieces, using hand tools such as hammers. 2.12 Sew rips or tears in material, or create tufting, using needles and thread. 2.13 To predict that all activities and to be purchased all equipment and belongings may create disease for the environment, to join all activities which is organized to protect biological diversity and shares the responsibilities, shares the individual responsibilities in order to increase environment knowledge and to carry on necessary trainings. Required to possess certification for the job, if necessary. Expected to use basic tools and devices related to the job.
