Create, modify, and maintain 3D CAD models and 2D engineering drawings for components and assemblies using Creo or equivalent CAD tools.
Support development of product specifications, engineering drawings, and bills of materials in accordance with Cummins standards.
Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to support manufacturability, inspection, and functional performance.
Develop capability to ensure high-quality models and drawings through adherence to engineering standards, procedures, and CAD best practices.
Support modeling of sheet metal, casting, welded assemblies, and other mechanical system components.
Perform self-checks and quality reviews using CAD and drawing checklists prior to design release.
Utilize CAD data management and PLM tools such as Windchill for configuration control, version management, and engineering change activities.
Support product configuration and change management processes throughout the product lifecycle.
Learn and apply company, industry, national, and international engineering standards.
Process internal engineering work requests and collaborate with cross-functional teams as required.
Assist in maintaining documentation accuracy and engineering data integrity.
Participate in classroom training, apprenticeship activities, and on-the-job learning programs to build technical capability and progress toward certification.

Requirements
High school diploma, certificate of completion of secondary education, or equivalent experience in a relevant STEM field is required.
Must meet the educational requirements to begin a formal apprenticeship or regional training program.
Registration in a regionally certified apprenticeship learning or training program is required.
Diploma or vocational training in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, CAD Design, or related technical fields is preferred.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
