About the role
The Multi-Modality CT Technologist in hospital setting is responsible for performing CT and diagnostic imaging exams on patients as requested by the referring physicians. Performs all radiology and CT exams and procedures in accordance with RHS policy and procedures. Performs patient preparation and explanation of exams, responds to patient questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process, IV insertions and contrast injections, and completes all associated patient and equipment screening and technical documentation.
Responsibilities
- Assists radiologists in performing CT imaging procedures. Select proper protocol to obtain optimal images and provides clinical documentation per scope of practice.
- Understands and adheres to all applicable regulatory and accrediting standards. Reports variances.
- Coordinates patient care and performs effective assessment, actions, and documentation. Monitors and maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and material to ensure non-interruption of services.
- Detail oriented ability to multi-task organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
- CT experience (Preferred)
- Licenses and Certifications
- Radiologic Technologists - The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Radiology (R) Upon Hire(Required) or
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technician (CNMT) - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board Inc (NMTCB) CNMT Registry Upon Hire(Required) and
- Radiologic Technologists - The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Computed Tomography (CT) within 2 Years(Required) and
