Job Description: Job Summary** Operate and maintain bodymaker machines to produce high-quality aluminum beverage can bodies, ensuring efficient production and adherence to safety and quality standards. Job Responsibilities** * Set up, operate, and monitor bodymaker machines according to production schedules and specifications. * Perform routine inspections, adjustments, and preventative maintenance on bodymaker equipment. * Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical or operational issues to minimize downtime. * Monitor product quality, conducting regular checks for defects and ensuring adherence to dimensional and cosmetic standards. * Load and unload materials (aluminum slugs) into the bodymaker machines. * Record production data accurately, including output, downtime, and quality control checks. * Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including Lockout/Tagout, and maintain a clean and organized work area. * Communicate effectively with supervisors, maintenance staff, and other team members regarding production status, issues, and improvements. * Assist with changeovers and setups for different can specifications. * Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs. Job Qualifications** * High school diploma or equivalent. * Prior experience operating manufacturing machinery, preferably in a high-volume production environment. * Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic troubleshooting. * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. * Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. * Good communication skills, both written and verbal. * Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds. * Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. * Adherence to all safety regulations and company policies What Crown Offers You Strong engagement and commitment to the safety of our employees The opportunity to build a meaningful career Professional and personal development through training and work experiences Join us and become part of a team of professionals who are passionate about sustainable packaging!
