University Health Services (UHS) is seeking to hire two Medical Assistants to join our Primary Care team. In this essential role, you will support providers and nurses in delivering high‑quality, student‑centered care. Medical Assistants play a key part in maintaining smooth clinic operations by performing a combination of clinical and administrative duties, helping create an efficient and welcoming environment for every patient. You will have opportunities to work in multiple areas such as primary care, gynecology, sexual health, and community health.
This is a full‑time position. Regular working hours between 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Performs administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, assisting patients with billing, and coding information and answering basic medical questions
Performs routine vital signs, basic tests, assists with minor procedures, and administers medications as directed by a supervising clinician
Collects, prepares, and delivers specimens for laboratory analysis
Prepares and cleans examination rooms, instruments, and equipment for specific procedures
Escorts patients to various hospital locations and delivers, orders, and inventories general clinic supplies
