About the role
This casual role will provide assistance in areas such logistics, administration and customer service. Reporting to the Manager, Domestic Student Recruitment Engagement, you will: Assist with the set up/pack down of events and associated logistics and delivery. Provide general information about the events and assistance to potential students, parents, and other stakeholders at recruitment events. Provide directions to event attendees to get around campus and the shuttle bus, assist the flow of entry/exit to or at event venues. Assist with general event administration, such as data collection at the events for student experience activities, checking in and registering potential students/parents to program activities, campus tours and information sessions. Assist with staff catering, e.g. stocking food and beverages in staff kitchenette areas and receiving staff lunch deliveries. Assist with printing, laminating, labelling, stocktaking, merchandising, and packing as required Selection Criteria - Essential: Must be available to work an all-day shift on Open Day - Saturday, 15 August, 2026. Must be available to attend in-person training on Wednesday 5th August 2026 - exact timing of training is yet to be confirmed but it will be in the morning to lunch time timeslot (in-person attendance required). Great interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with a broad range of stakeholders such as potential students, parents and stakeholders. Professional and high standards of personal conduct to represent Macquarie University. Technologically savvy, timely responses to email and text messages. Adaptable to change and open to guidance and feedback. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Able to undertake light to moderate physical tasks including handling boxes of approximately 10 kg weight on a regular basis. Able to be on your feet and standing for 5 plus hours.
