Position Overview An excellent opportunity for early-career professionals to build expertise in component engineering while assisting senior engineers in component management, compliance, and documentation processes.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for identifying and assessing electronic components to verify compliance with technical specifications and performance criteria
- Conduct reviews and analyses of datasheets, specifications, and BOMs to verify component suitability and maintain accurate documentation
- Support component lifecycle management, including tracking obsolescence and sourcing alternatives to ensure continuity and reliability.
- Partner with cross-functional teams - including commodity managers, design
- Manage Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and perform Bill of Materials (BOM) cost analysis to ensure competitive pricing
- Play a key role in keeping component libraries and documentation organized, accurate, and ready to support engineering projects.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards such as RoHS, REACH, UL, and other relevant safety regulations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Comprehensive understanding of a wide range of components - from semiconductors and passive devices to connectors and electromechanical parts
- Ability to read and understand technical datasheets and specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to create, analyze, and present data effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Work Experience
- At least one (1) year of experience in Component and Sales Engineering
