Fifteen plus years of work experience in Private Banking or Financial Services

Job Summary
This Group Director - Investment Counselor role is responsible for delivering comprehensive, goals-based financial planning for high-net-worth and ultra- high-net-worth clients. In this role, the Investment Counselor will be operating in a consultative role and partners closely with portfolio management, insurance, tax, and banking teams.
Job Responsibilities:
Strategic Partnership
Work with Private Banking team to develop and maintain comprehensive financial plans (insurance, retirement, estate, tax strategy, risk management, philanthropy)
Translate complex financial concepts into clear, actionable guidance for clients
Serve as investment planning resource for private banking teams
Review and interpret investment strategy in coordination with portfolio managers (not product sales)
Product & Service Innovation
Monitor and update plans based on life events, regulatory changes, and market conditions
Support client acquisition and retention through planning expertise
Contribute to planning standards, tools, and best practices across the division
Performance Monitoring
Track and analyze business performance metrics, ensuring delivery of growth targets and identifying areas for improvement.
Ensure that proposed solutions fulfill clients' needs and objectives in the short, medium and long term through a holistic goals-based planning approach
Risk Management and Compliance
Strictly adhere to all risk and control policies, regulatory guidelines and security measures
ADDITIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
