Responsible for the planning and distribution of discipline-specific work, and adherence to the schedule and budget on projects.
Assists in marketing responsibilities, including proposal generation.
Assists with the development of scope of work and level of effort for projects and/or assignments within discipline.
Oversees completeness and accuracy of project team's work within the technical discipline. Guides and mentors team to overall project objectives.
Coordinates technical aspects of project with client counterpart and teaming partners at staff level for work within the discipline.
Works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
Recruits, hires, develops and retains staff, including development of plan for staff reporting, performance and compensation reviews, and succession. Coordinates schedules and approves timecards.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 6 years of relevant experience, or
Master's degree in Engineering and 5 years of relevant experience, or
PhD in Engineering and 4 years of relevant experience
Performs drainage design for transportation projects, including stormwater management facility, floodplain compensation site, storm drain, ditch, culvert, bridge hydraulics, and scour analysis.
Works in OpenRoads Designer and AutoCAD Civil 3D production platforms, and use of a variety of technical design software packages (StormWise, HEC-RAS, OpenRoads Designer Drainage).
Prepares construction and permitting documents, including reports, plans, and specifications.
Leads and manages drainage related tasks and provide leadership and mentoring to project teams.
Works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
Participates in project pursuits including presentations, interviews, and technical proposals.
Develops scope of services and staff hour estimation for drainage tasks.
Performs quality control review of deliverables.
Coordinates work planning and design effectively across multiple technical disciplines.
Prepares high quality deliverables that are on time, and within budget and scope.
What We Prefer:
8 years relevant experience.
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida.
