You will support Site Deployment Test & Commissioning activities on a given project under the guidance and supervision of more senior staff. You will assist in performance of tests in accordance with established test plans and procedures. Lastly, s/he will prepare problem reports describing test failures and defects. Key Accountabilities Participate in the Development of field test plans at System level Assist in performance of field tests Assist in scheduling/planning testing activities to meet project milestones Assist in developing possession requests Prepare test reports which record the pass, fail status of planned tests and identify problems reports generated during the tests Acquire product knowledge through active participation in formal, and on the job training, as well as self-study Prepare test reports upon completion of field test sessions Prepare problem reports in the defect tracking system describing test failures and defects Recognize anomalous system behavior and document the behavior into the problem tracking system Maintains test tracking database at end of test sessions Conducts initial review of test results through incorporating analysis of collected data with observed system responses Communicate test observation and results in both oral and written media to other engineering staff, superiors and customers Adheres to the company's Processes and Work Instructions Note that this position requires significant night shift and weekend work on top of regular day shift duties Key Requirements Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Systems Engineering or Equivalent Completed at least 2 years of undergraduate course Fluent in English both in written and oral communication skills This position may require some travelling to the project site. Depending on project assigned, some tailoring and flexibility of individual's schedule will be required to ensure collaboration with peers in Burnaby and peers/customers across the world can occur successfully. Able to work hybrid full time hours (40 hours) on the start date and for the agreed work term Computer literacy including word processing, spreadsheet, and databases
