About the role
We're looking for a technically curious and self-driven engineering intern to work directly with our team on two parallel tracks: expanding and refining our Ignition SCADA HMI and dashboards and helping build the foundational infrastructure for a predictive maintenance and process data analytics platform. You'll be doing real engineering work on systems that directly support plant operations and reliability. Job Description Ignition SCADA & HMI Development Build and improve operator HMI screens and dashboards in Inductive Automation Ignition Perspective. Develop and maintain Named Queries, Tags, and UDTs to support real-time and historical data visualization. Assist with OPC-UA configuration for device and PLC connectivity Write Python and Jython scripting within Ignition for data transformations and event handling. Process Reliability Through Analytics Assist with structured streaming and batch jobs for sensor data processing using Apache Spark and Delta Live Tables in Databricks. Support development of ML model scaffolding (time-series anomaly detection, remaining useful life estimation) using MLflow and frameworks such as Chronos-2 or TimesFM in Databricks. Assist with building dashboards that provide equipment reliability information and predictive insights alongside live process data.
