This position is responsible for supervising staff, enforcing facility rules and procedures, supporting youth rehabilitation efforts, and ensuring daily operations of assigned living units are conducted in a safe, structured, and consistent manner. The supervisor plays a key role in staff development, behavior management, and maintaining a secure and supportive environment. This position will be 3:00p.m. to 11:00p.m with Wednesday/Thursday days off. Job Duties include, but are not limited to the following: Plans, organizes, assigns, and supervises the daily work activities of assigned security staff to ensure unit goals, safety standards, and operational requirements are met. Provides leadership, coaching, training, and performance feedback to staff; counsels employees on policies, procedures, and work expectations; and identifies training needs. Reviews employee performance and recommends appropriate personnel actions, including promotions, disciplinary actions, status changes, separations, and grievance responses. Enforces facility rules, regulations, and security procedures to ensure the safe and orderly movement of youth on and off campus and during school, recreation, dining, church, and other activities. Oversees the operation and maintenance of assigned cottages or living units, including supply requisitions, inventory control, and accurate recordkeeping. Maintains records related to youth behavior, incidents, adjustments, and unit operations in accordance with administrative, safety, sanitation, and security standards. Consults and collaborates with treatment, education, and facility staff regarding youth behavior concerns and disciplinary actions to support rehabilitation efforts. Ensures a safe, secure, and structured environment that promotes accountability, positive behavior, and the overall rehabilitative mission of the facility. Requirements / Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Coursework/training or experience in: social work, criminal justice, counseling and guidance, human development and the family, psychology, behavioral health care, education, social/behavioral sciences, nursing/patient care, delinquency prevention or related area. Experience leading, coordinating, directing, monitoring and/or supervising others. Preferred Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, behavioral sciences, human services, sociology, family studies, or a closely related field. Other: Must be 21 years of age and valid driver's license. This position requires proficiency in English, including the ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend the language effectively.
