The Production Associate I supports manufacturing operations by assembling, aligning, and adjusting components in accordance with established procedures and specifications. This role uses hand and power tools, as well as assembly equipment, to build products on a production line. Responsibilities include testing and calibrating components to ensure they meet required tolerances and quality standards, and reworking items that do not meet acceptance criteria. The associate maintains accurate production records and a clean, organized work environment.
At GE HealthCare's Noblesville site, this role supports the production, configuration, refurbishment, and repair of industry-leading ultrasound systems.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
Comply with all Quality Management System requirements and applicable regulations
Follow controlled documentation to perform assigned tasks and processes
Maintain required training records and adhere to all site safety policies
Inspect and identify damaged components; order replacement parts and create work orders
Disassemble systems, clean components, and repair or replace damaged parts
Perform required service actions and complete software and hardware upgrades
Reassemble systems and install required options and accessories
Verify system performance through diagnostic and functional testing
Record test results and update Device History Records for each unit
Identify, segregate, and disposition nonconforming products
Maintain accurate inventory records, including part and system status/location
Ensure tools and test equipment are properly maintained and calibrated
Support product quality by identifying issues and assisting with corrective actions
Collaborate with engineering and site teams to improve process quality and efficiency
Contribute to on-time delivery and overall customer experience
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or local equivalent with 2+ years of relevant experience
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
Demonstrated attention to detail with a strong focus on product quality and safe work practices
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment with varied daily responsibilities
Strong work ethic, accountability, and reliability, including consistent attendance
