About the role
Money Desk Specialist works directly with and supports firm's advisors and clients with requests related to money movement and other specialized back-office tasks. This person assists in processing of requests such as distributions, wire transfers, ACH, cost basis inquiries, account transfers, trade orders, and similar. Serving as the primary contact for advisors and clients, the Money Desk Specialist is there to provide exceptional customer service. Essential Job Functions , other duties assigned Accurately and efficiently process day to day operational requests including but not limited to distributions and check requests, check deposits, wires, ACH set up, cost basis inquiries, transfer delays, trade orders, and similar. Assist the advisors with questions related to paperwork completion requirements and firm processes and procedures. Act as a liaison between the account custodian and the advisor/client. Cleary communicate the custodial and firm's requirements as they apply to the request to ensure efficient process and elimination of NIGOs. Proactively research and analyze issues for a fast and effective resolution. Work closely with other departments within the firm to collaborate on customer service, issues and projects. Requirements
- 1 year of working directly with a broker-dealer, RIA, or insurance organization.
- 2 years experience in Client Service or Operations with Brokerage/Financial Industry
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University; one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of related education and experience and/or training.
- Licensing:
- FINRA Series 7 required within first 6 months of employment and Series 65/66 preferred but not required
