Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday 9:00am - 6:00pm with one late night per week
Compensation: $24 - $27 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors.
We are seeking a detail-oriented, student-focused Financial Aid Officer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about helping students access financial resources and guiding them through the financial aid process with accuracy, professionalism, and care.
As a Financial Aid Officer, you will support students by processing financial aid documentation, ensuring compliance with federal and institutional regulations, and providing exceptional service throughout the funding process. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a student-centered approach.
Key Duties
- Process financial aid documentation including FAFSA applications, VA Education Benefits, Military Tuition Assistance, scholarships, and loan documentation
- Monitor FAFSA submissions, ISIR receipt, verification requirements, and student eligibility for aid disbursement
- Track Master Promissory Notes (MPNs) and conduct entrance and exit loan counseling sessions
- Maintain accurate student records while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and institutional financial aid regulations
- Review incomplete files and follow up with students regarding required documentation
- Monitor student accounts to ensure proper financial aid packaging and timely funding disbursement
- Meet with incoming students to explain financial aid options, required documentation, and available resources
- Provide ongoing support to students regarding financial aid questions and refer students to appropriate departments when needed
- Assist with additional projects and responsibilities as assigned by campus leadership
