This position serves as critical support to all areas or functions of this location and ensures the continued commitment to taking care of our customers-reports to the Operations Manager or delegates for the safe and efficient performance of the functions assigned. Maintain cordial relationships with internal and external sources in the Company's best interest. Carry out responsibilities in full compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and local regulations, including but not limited to OSHA, the National Fire Protection Agency, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Food and Drug Administration, and the Department of Transportation, as well as, Customer requirements, Company policy and procedures, and ISO quality system. Within the limits of the Company policies and in compliance with all government regulations, the Central Receiver employee is responsible for and has commensurate authority to accomplish the fulfillment of the functions shown below:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
As directed, perform a variety of warehousing duties.
Verify materials against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and damages. Utilizes technology such as bar code scanners to accomplish.
Enters receivers for inbound material via computer system
Produce and verify both inbound and outbound paperwork.
Process and arrange waste shipments per regulations.
Tracks all plant demurrage and reports monthly to Operations Management.
Perform clerical and physical tasks related to receiving incoming shipments, including computer entry.
In performing day-to-day routine tasks, follow established guidelines.
In handling unusual non-routine problems, receive specific guidance from the supervisor.
Responsibility to initiate, recommend or provide solutions to problems in this area.
Has the ability to initiate Corrective Action Requests and Preventative Action Requests.
Verify the correctness of incoming shipments are comparing items and quantities against shipping documents.
Protect property from theft or damage.
Properly labels warehouse staff upon receipt of inbound material.
Wear safety equipment as prescribed by Company
Store material by compatibility information.
Call the supervisor if any discrepancies arise.
As trained in Hazardous Waste, ensure that all functions assigned are completed in full compliance with hazardous waste regulation. These functions may include proper handling, documenting, and inspecting Hazardous Waste.
