Seeking a Local Event Marketing Manager to drive awareness, engagement, and bookings for a newly renovated event space in Washington, DC.
This role will play a critical part in establishing the space as a go-to destination for events, including corporate functions, community programming, and private rentals (e.g., weddings, receptions, and meetings).
This is a hands-on, highly visible role focused on building local buzz, driving attendance, and increasing revenue through event bookings.
Responsibilities
Local Marketing Strategy
Develop and execute a hyper-local marketing strategy to drive awareness and usage of the space
Position the space as a premier destination for events and community engagement
Build and grow a local audience and pipeline of event opportunities
Social Media & Content Creation
Own day-to-day social media management (Instagram, Facebook, Eventbrite integrations)
Create and publish real-time, social-first content (Reels, Stories, short-form video)
Promote upcoming events, rentals, and offerings with strong, conversion-focused messaging
Highlight the space, amenities, and event capabilities through engaging content
Event Marketing & Execution
Ensure all event listings are live, optimized, and distributed across platforms
Attend select events onsite to capture content and support execution as needed
Partnerships & Community Engagement
Build relationships with: Local businesses event planners , Schools, firms, and organizations
Drive cross-promotions, partnerships, and grassroots marketing initiatives
Execute scrappy, high-impact activations to build local buzz
Promote events through: Local media outlets, Newsletters and community boards
Identify new channels and tactics to increase visibility and attendance
Key Deliverables / KPIs
Increased event registrations and attendance
Growth in event bookings and space utilization
Social engagement: Views, shares, saves, follower growth
Influencer/partner activations and reach
Traffic to event pages and conversion to registrations
Ideal Candidate Profile
DC-based with a strong understanding of the local market and audience
3-6 years of experience in: Event marketing, Social media, Experiential or local marketing
Strong content creator, especially video (Reels, Stories, short-form)
Connector mindset, comfortable with outreach, and partnership building
Highly scrappy, proactive, and resourceful
Flexible and able to:
Attend events
Work occasional evenings/weekends
Come onsite on short notice when needed

Our Association client in Washington DC is currently seeking an Event Marketing Manager to join their team for 5-6 months. This is a hybrid position and you must be local to the DC area. 25-30 hours per week with the potential to scale up or down.
