Metrologist

About the role

CACI is looking for a Metrologist to join the team at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Divisions (NSWCCDs) Fabrication Team In this role, you will utilize high precision measurement equipment (coordinate measurement machines (CMMs), laser tracker equipment, ultrasonic devices, calipers, verniers, electronic protractors, squares, height gauges, depth gauges, indicators, and micrometers ) and perform computerized spatial analysis. Calibrate equipment then measure item geometry and spatial relationships. This includes small and large-scale items requiring dimension and tolerance analysis to determine accuracy. Shall restrain items to prevent hog and sag deformation prior to measurement. Provide Tolerance Measurement Study upon completion. Perform preventative and routine maintenance and calibration of measurement equipment as needed and issue calibration certificates.
