Support department management in maintaining internal controls and regulatory compliance to include the following:
Review new servicing agreements and research and implement procedures for new investors using knowledge of investor procedures, remittance and reporting requirements.
Keep informed of current compliance issues and regulations to ensure controls are maintained on all existing and new products and services.
Participate in and provide training in regulatory and compliance issues as needed.
Develop and maintain appropriate written policies and procedures to facilitate compliance.
Coordinate gathering of documentation packages as required by internal/external auditors and submission of completed packages by requested deadlines.
Travel required: 0-10%.
Requirements
2 Year / Associate Degree preferred.
Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Minimum 5 Years of experience preferred.
Accounting experience or strong understanding of the concept of general accounting rules.
Experience and familiarity with MSP or similar Service Bureau Accounting system.
Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word and/or Access.
Must be versatile, with ability to prioritize a number of duties at once.
Basic keyboard, typing, 10-key by touch, and P/C experience. Knowledge and experience with Windows, Excel and Word preferred.
Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Possess strong problem solving and organizational skills.

The Sr. Investor Accounting Specialist is responsible for meeting investor reporting and remitting requirements as well as internal and external audit requests. The Investor Accounting Specialist Senior works with the requirements of the three major investors (Fannie Mae, Ginnie Mae, and Freddie Mac) and various miscellaneous and private investors. Incumbents will provide a high level of service to all internal and external customers and investors.
The Sr. Investor Accounting Specialist is able to handle in-depth and complex Investor reporting and reconciling issues and work with a high level of independence. Incumbents will participate in procedure reviews and department projects which recognizes additional training, skills, experience and performance in this position.
