Sales & Business Development
Lead sales of Volterra electric refuse vehicles and connected technology solutions across North America.
Identify, develop, and close opportunities for smart fleet technologies, including contamination detection, service verification, payload management, and overage detection solutions.
Partner with customers to understand operational needs and position integrated vehicle and technology solutions.
Support direct sales teams and dealers in advancing sales opportunities through customer meetings, presentations, demonstrations, and technical consultation.
Customer Engagement & Market Development
Build and maintain strong relationships with fleet customers and dealer partners.
Conduct product demonstrations, plant tours, and participate in industry events and trade shows.
Educate customers on the value of connected vehicle technologies and data-driven fleet management.
Monitor industry trends and competitive activity within electric refuse and smart fleet technologies, providing market insights and recommendations.
Sales Operations & Execution
Prepare and support quotations, factory orders, and change orders for vehicles and technology solutions.
Ensure accurate product configuration and alignment of vehicle and technology offerings.
Support aftermarket sales opportunities, including parts, service, and technology upgrades.
Manage demo and stock truck programs.
Strategy & Cross-Functional Leadership
Contribute to business planning, forecasting, and revenue growth initiatives.
Support go-to-market strategies for emerging technologies and digital solutions.
Collaborate with product management, engineering, marketing, and other cross-functional teams to support product launches and technology rollouts.
Lead or support strategic projects related to new products, technologies, and business growth initiatives.
Requirements
Bachelor 's degree in related field
8-plus years experience in related field, preferably heavy equipment, fleet, or technology solutions
STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in EV, refuse, fleet management, or technology
Familiarity with telematics or data driven solutions
Strong communication, presentation, and relationship building skills
Demonstrated ability to sell complex solutions (hardware and software/technology)
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Ability to work remotely and independently
CDL Class B, or the ability to obtain
Ability to travel 50% of the time
WORKING CONDITIONS

This role is primarily performed in a professional office environment with standard lighting, ventilation, and temperature-controlled settings.
Duties are largely sedentary , requiring extended periods of sitting and using a computer and telephone.
Visual acuity to operate a computer and read documents is required , along with auditory ability to participate in virtual and in-person meetings.
Occasional movement within the office environment is necessary, including walking short distances, standing, or reaching for files.

Pay Range:
$103,300.00 - $177,700.00
