Provide specialized psychiatric consultations and treatment to patients with moderate to severe mental disorders in community or home settings.
Assess clients' specific needs and develop individualized case management strategies accordingly.
Work closely with a psychologist, physician, and nurse to ensure the physical and mental health and well-being of the most vulnerable patients through daily home visits.
Provide basic medical consultation and treatment for acute and chronic conditions when necessary and refer patients to appropriate specialists as needed.
Conduct group psychoeducational sessions or training.
Provide psychological first aid and make house calls for this purpose.
Support the project pharmacist in managing pharmaceuticals, including psychotropic medications.
Effectively manage emergencies, make appropriate referrals, and actively participate in Ministry of Health case management meetings.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation of services provided, maintaining client confidentiality.
Actively participate in supervision meetings.
Provide regular reports on work performed.
Receive and promptly forward referrals from the medical team, other IRC departments, and external organizations.
Perform any other tasks that the supervisor deems necessary to support the goals of the PHC program.
Concerning all client-facing staff:
Information sharing - Regularly share and discuss timely, accurate and relevant information in local languages with communities about: - access and eligibility to service, -expected staff behaviors and code of conduct, - community feedback, safeguarding mechanism and how to use them.
Feedback collection and reporting - Establish or promote the formal feedback mechanism - aligned with organizational best practice - to capture, monitor, respond to and act on feedback and complaints from communities.
For people managers:
Foster ongoing learning, honest dialogue, and reflection at team level to strengthen safeguarding, wellbeing and duty of care, and to promote IRC values and adherence to IRC policies.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Master's degree in medicine with a specialization in psychiatry.
Requirements
At least 3 years of professional experience in psychiatry in a clinical and/or direct care setting.
Previous experience in health programs and work with NGOs is preferred.
Knowledge and experience in clinical supervision and training.
Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:
Be familiar with and apply the IASC MHPSS guidelines and best practices as part of your previous work experience.

The psychiatrist will provide specialized psychiatric consultations and treatment to patients with moderate to severe mental disorders in community or home settings, either as part of mobile medical teams or independently. In addition, the psychiatrist will provide general medical consultations and treatment for acute and chronic conditions, support in the management of medications, including psychotropic drugs, perform structured clinical assessments, maintain strict confidentiality in documentation, manage emergencies, issue referrals, and participate in Ministry of Health case management meetings.
