The base pay range for this position is:
$82,690 - $113,696
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.

Works at clinical sites to observe medical physics services under the supervision of a qualified medical physicist commensurate with their level of advancement and responsibility as determined by the Sr. Medical Physicist. Implements and abides by Customer Service Standards. Supports and demonstrates Family-Centered Care principles when interacting with customers and with co-workers.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES :
Develop personal program of self-study and clinical competency with guidance from the medical physics clinical staff.
Contact with employees and physicians in radiation oncology and the public requiring professionalism, tact, diplomacy, and interventional planning. Patient confidentiality must be maintained at all times.
Clinical duties include, but are not limited to Observation in:
Radiation dosimetry calibrations and measurements.
Linear accelerator quality assurance.
Radiation safety measures.
Radiotherapy treatment planning.
Fabrication and quality assurance of radiotherapy treatment aids such as immobilization devices, custom blocks, custom compensators, bolus, etc.
Low dose rate and high dose rate brachytherapy dosimetry and quality assurance.
Stereotactic radiosurgery dosimetry and quality assurance.
Intensity modulated radiotherapy dosimetry and quality assurance.
Participate in the educational and scholarly activities of the program.
Participate in departmental and institutional committees and councils, especially those related to technical, safety, and patient care activities.
Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, guests and all members of the healthcare team, in a professional manner.
Maintain compliance with all Varian policies and procedures and local cancer center policies.
Other duties as assigned.
