Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 - Under the general direction of the Utilities Manager and within established Hospital and departmental policies and procedures and in accordance with applicable codes and practices performs a wide variety of testing, repairs, maintenance, and record keeping for plumbing and medical gas systems and equipment. Required Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience: A thorough understanding of plumbing and medical gas system codes, regulations and practices Able to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, access crawl spaces; able to work extra shifts, able to work in harsh environment, such as boiler rooms, mechanical spaces, crawl spaces Ability to read and understand blueprints Preferred Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience: Massachusetts Master Plumber License Educational Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent License/Certification: Massachusetts Journeyman Plumber License Age Specific Criteria: Ability to effectively communicate to all age levels served within the scope of the position/assigned areas. Ability to Meet Job Performance Expectations: Must have the ability to perform the essential functions of the position without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of themselves or other individuals in the workplace, with or without a reasonable accommodation. - Salary Range: $33.82-$52.24 - Salary Range Details The pay range displayed on each job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set, and education.
