Screen for employer requirements and match applicants to suitable opportunities. File job search listings and match job seekers to openings; update files and make changes. Provide labor market information and vocational guidance. Oversee resource area; update and maintain new materials; provide guidance and assistance to customers including computer resources/internet resources, resume programs, self-registration, and job leads. Provide detailed customer assistance in use of software programs; troubleshoot computer related software problems as needed. Administer specialized clerical testing to determine minimum qualifications for job requirements; record, report and document results; provide counseling to applicants on test results and meaning. Contact businesses to schedule interviews for applicants; obtain pertinent information of job orders, special job developments, and mass recruitments. Answer questions related to workforce availability, wages, and labor/industry trends. Perform a variety of recruitment activities, including coordination of mass recruiting efforts and job fairs. Contact partners and community resources on available programs and resources; participate on community resources panels. Location: 600 E Francis Street, Suite 9, North Platte, NE (On-site) Work Schedule: 8am - 5pm; Monday - Friday Requirements / Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Coursework or training in social/behavioral sciences, business or public administration, education or related field; or experience in public/human services gathering and providing information, interviewing and assessing client needs. Preferred Qualifications: Associate or bachelor's degree in human resources, behavioral science, business administration, communication, education or marketing. Spanish/English bilingual skills desired. Other: Must have a valid driver's license or the ability to provide authorized independent transportation. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of: Department of Labor and American Job Center services; general functions and structure of an employment service program; interviewing techniques; methods for showing and promoting agency services; NEworks system; Microsoft Office Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint; SharePoint, Google Docs.
