Monitor all on-site construction activities associated with successful project delivery.
Apply working knowledge of construction disciplines, installation methods, and techniques.
Ensure construction operations follow approved work plans and Area Shutdown Requests (ASRs) , including proper notifications and coordination.
Become thoroughly familiar with contractual obligations and technical requirements for facilities being constructed.
Ensure work is performed and inspected to the latest approved plans/specifications, including approved changes, submittals, and RFIs.
Collaborate with Construction Contractor and stakeholders to plan construction activities and identify critical milestones/priorities.
Monitor budget estimates and staffing needs for defined scope and schedule.
Monitor use/assignment of manpower, materials, and equipment to maximize efficiency and meet schedule and budget goals.
Identify potential problem areas early and take preventative action to protect milestones and phased delivery.
Enforce safe construction practices and quality control while maintaining efficiency and cost discipline.
Prepare periodic progress reports for leadership and client stakeholders.
Ensure implementation of applicable policies and procedures, including project labor agreement (PLA) policies.
Participate in coordination meetings with Construction Contractor, trade partners, stakeholders, LAWA Operations, etc.
Review Contractor Potential Change Order claims for merit and support negotiation through final resolution.
Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support program delivery.
Requirements
Required Experience
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
10+ years of experience, preferably on airport projects
Experience supporting projects $100M+
Experience with delivery methods including: Design-Bid-Build
Design + CMAR
Design-Build
Proven ability to perform in a management capacity
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong knowledge of industry practices and regulations
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam
AAAE, LEED, PE, PMP, AICP, or other relevant licensure/certifications
Familiarity with project management information systems (e.g., PM Web )
Master's degree
Working Hours & Location: Full-time and exempt role
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM -5:00 PM.

About this Role:
Consertus is seeking a Construction Manager III to support LAWA's Terminal Development & Improvement Program (TDIP) at LAX . The TDIP Construction Manager reports to the assigned project's Project Manager and is responsible for managing and coordinating field construction activities performed by the Construction Contractor (Design-Builder and/or CMAR).
This role serves as a key liaison across pre-construction and construction activities and leads the safety, security, and quality efforts for assigned terminal modernization programs. The Construction Manager will manage scope, cost, schedule, and operational interfaces, ensuring construction work meets LAWA standards while maintaining a strong health, safety, and environmental culture.
Multiple positions may be anticipated; candidates may be aligned to focus areas such as airport concourse , airport headhouse , or site/civil scope.
