Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
7+ years of software engineering experience, including system design and implementation.
Expertise in software architecture, scalable system design, and performance optimization.
Proficiency in modern programming languages and development frameworks.
Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
Proficient with C and C++.
Experienced with Make and CMake.
Experienced with QT/QML or similar framework.
Experienced developing applications for Linux, iOS, Android and Windows.
Experienced with CAN bus.
Experience with IoT ie. Thingsboard, MQTT, Mender and related technologies.
Experience leading Agile teams or technical initiatives.
Contributions to open-source projects or technical publications.
Experience with safety-critical or high-reliability systems.
Familiarity with embedded security, bootloaders, and firmware update mechanisms.
Experienced developing Linux kernel drivers.
Experienced bringing up new hardware from scratch.
Experienced with networking technologies WiFi, Bluetooth, TCP/IP, Ethernet would be a bonus.
Familiar with CI and DevOps (Azure, Jenkins, or similar).
Familiar with Docker or similar.
Strong ability to read and understand electronic schematics.
Working Conditions:
Technical, hands-on position.
On water testing on advanced prototypes and new products.
Will work mainly with the New Zealand team in office but will have occasional need to partner with colleagues abroad.
