Plan and deliver upgrades, migrations, and deployments (hardware and software) with minimal disruption.
Lead or contribute to regional/global initiatives-especially infrastructure refreshes and security improvements.
Create and deliver clear technical training and knowledge sharing for local staff and end users.
Work with vendors and service providers on procurement, support, and contract management.
Strategic & cross-site ownership
Align local IT operations with business priorities and global IT standards.
Run regular site visits to assess infrastructure health, end-user needs, and compliance.
Continuously improve processes to raise reliability, security, and service quality.
Contribute to regional IT budgeting and smart resource allocation.
Requirements
Several years of experience in systems administration and/or senior IT support roles (typically 5+ years).
Hands‑on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and core networking concepts.
Experience supporting cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure.
Experience applying modern security, patching, and compliance practices.
Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues using a structured approach.
Experience managing small technical projects end‑to‑end.
Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Ability and willingness to travel frequently between Nordic sites.
Existing legal authorization to work in Denmark (work permits cannot be provided).
Experience with automation and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
Experience using AI‑enabled tools such as Microsoft Copilot in an IT operations context.
Relevant certifications such as Microsoft (MCSA/MCSE), Azure, and/or CCNA.
Experience supporting multi‑site or geographically distributed environments.

Location & travel

CAE is looking for a hands-on, proactive IT Systems Administrator to keep our Nordic training centres running securely, reliably, and at peak performance. You'll combine solid systems administration with on-the-ground support-owning the day-to-day technology experience across Stockholm, Copenhagen, and Oslo, with occasional support to other European locations.
This role is based in Copenhagen, but is a travel-based role with a strong on-site presence across Stockholm, Copenhagen, and Oslo, ensuring consistent, high-quality IT service delivery. You will need to be happy to travel most weeks to other locations. Our dedicated remote teams provide first-line support and network operations, so you can focus on keeping the environment stable, modern, and continuously improving.
