Torch Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a team supporting the Software Integrated Product Team (IPT) under the TMAS2 Tenants contract effort on Eglin AFB, FL.
As a Senior Software Engineer, your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:
Team Collaboration: Work with a team of software engineers in the development and implementation of software systems that support acquisition processes.
Software Development: Evaluate the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications, tools, and interfaces that enable efficient and effective acquisition processes.
Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document requirements for software systems, including functional, allocated and product baseline requirements.
System Integration: Oversee the integration of software systems with existing acquisition systems.
Documentation: Review documentation related to software systems, processes, and procedures, including user manuals, technical guides, and training materials. Identify gaps in the documentation, including areas where information is missing or unclear. Provide feedback and recommendations for improving the documentation, including suggestions for reorganization, rewriting, or adding new content.
Testing and Quality Assurance: Review testing plans and test procedures to ensure software systems meet requirements and are free from defects.
Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including acquisition and logistics teams, to ensure software systems meet requirements.
Compliance: Ensure software systems comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including cybersecurity and data privacy standards.
Required Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship
Must possess a Master's degree in computer engineering, computer science, or equivalent discipline.
Must have at least 10 years in computer engineering experience or equivalent. Additional 2 years' of relevant experience may be substituted to satisfy degree requirement.
The candidate should have a Secret Clearance within the last 5 years with Top Secret eligibility.
