Provide day-to-day leadership and act as escalation point
Monitor tachograph compliance and reduce infringements
Support rota planning, including holiday and resource management
Maintain strong customer relationships and resolve issues
Ensure vehicles are roadworthy and defects are addressed
Support reduction in agency usage and overall cost control
Lead team briefings and promote high standards
Maintain safe working practices and compliance with H&S
Requirements
C1 licence (up to 7.5T) and digital tachograph card
Knowledge of driver hours and compliance
Experience in logistics/transport
Ability to lead and organise a team
(CPC desirable - training available)
Role Requirements
Comfortable with manual handling (trolleys up to 250kg)
Flexible working between 4am-9pm, including weekends
Hands-on role combining driving and leadership

HSSU Lead Driver
Tiverton HSSU Hub | Sterile Services Unit | Permanent | Full Time
up to £35,015 per annum depending on experience
37.5 hrs per week incl. weekends
Enhancements: +30% after 7pm | +20% weekends | 1.5x overtime
Our Hospital Sterile Services Unit (HSSU) transports sterile and disinfected surgical equipment to our local hospital network.
