Job Summary:
The Department of Psychiatry is seeking outstanding applicants for clinical health sciences track addiction psychiatry faculty position with clinician-educator or clinician-scholar interests. The successful candidate's clinical focus will be aligned with one or more areas of clinical expertise in the department, including, but not limited to board specialization in general adult and addiction psychiatry, as well as addiction medicine.
In addition, the successful candidate's clinical setting can include inpatient and outpatient, including intensive outpatient programs. The successful candidate will also be expected to teach medical students, interns, residents, and fellows, which may include lecturing and mentoring in our various educational programs, embracing culture of excellence and innovation, and have interest in clinical scholarship within the Department.

This position requires work to be completed onsite, at a designated campus work location.
This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years.

Having two job postings allows the School of Medicine and Public Health to consider candidates with both tenure-track faculty credentials and non-tenure-track faculty credentials for this position.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Teach medical students, interns, residents, and fellows.
CHS Track: Participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health. An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members.
Provide psychiatric care for a variety of addiction psychiatry and medicine patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
