Responsibilities
- Support the Trade Surveillance Manager with reviews, investigations, and reporting.
- Take responsibility for specific surveillance alerts as part of global T+1 monitoring of client trading activity.
- Investigate and escalate suspicious or potentially illegal trading behaviours.
- File Suspicious Transaction and Order Reports (STORs) and/or Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) to regulators (FCA, NCA) within required timelines.
- Handle follow-up enquiries and requests for information from regulators.
- Review and update surveillance procedure documentation.
- Identify new risks and recommend enhancements to surveillance reporting and controls.
- Assist with other areas of Trade Surveillance, Financial Crime, and Compliance as required.
- Provide a high-quality, professional service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Key Skills & Experience:
- Strong understanding of financial markets and CMC Markets' products.
- Previous Trade Surveillance experience preferred; experience with surveillance systems is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and numeracy skills.
- Ability to make quick decisions and prioritise effectively.
