Responsibilities

  • Creates detailed business requirements for functional (e.g., business processes, rules) and non-functional (e.g., data, security) capabilities.

  • Previous Experience:
  • More than five (5) years of experience as an IT Business Analyst would be preferred.
  • Financial Services and/or enterprise level experience is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of:
  • Advanced knowledge issue tracking, change management and requirements gathering.
  • Solid understanding of SDLC and work through various phases of it with Peers and IT Partners.
  • Knowledge of Waterfall, Agile and Hybrid software development methodologies.
  • Reporting knowledge from user perspective, such as creating and running reports in SSRS.
  • Skilled in:
  • Good steward of gathering and maintaining application documentations in Wiki environment.
  • Experience with gathering business requirements from ground up is required.
  • Experience with SQL scripting, pulling data out of various systems, writing BRD's, etc... is required. Experience writing scripts for data manipulation.
  • Experience in working with various stake holders of IT and business stakeholders at senior level is required.
  • Experience with analyzing data in a complicated multi-layered application in heterogeneous environment.
  • Experience with supporting enterprise level, complex applications is preferred.
  • Experience and background in working with financial accounting systems would be preferred.
  • Experience in working with vendor-based application software implementation and support is a plus.

  • Ability to assume ownership and responsibility, act as a key liaison between application development and business operations is required.

Job Description Summary Note: This position follows a hybrid-friendly schedule, offering flexibility and collaboration. Employees are expected to work from our St. Petersburg, FL Corporate Office several days each month (typically averaging 2-3 days per week). In-office time can be scheduled flexibly throughout the month in alignment with team and business needs. This role is not eligible for Work Visa sponsorship, either currently or in the future. Job Description As a key member of the Bank Technology Development team, the Lead Business Analyst plays an essential role in supporting Bank Technology users. This position encompasses two primary areas of responsibility. The first involves performing core Business Analyst functions, including gathering, documenting, and supporting business requirements through successful implementation. The second focuses on serving as a Business Administrator for multiple vendor-based banking applications, primarily Fiserv. This role offers a dynamic opportunity to address a broad range of user needs while collaborating with diverse business groups across Raymond James Bank and partnering closely with IT teams. In addition, the position works directly with vendor support teams, fostering strong professional relationships and requiring a high level of communication and collaboration skills.
