Lead and manage a team of 2-5 design and project engineers.
Communicate effectively and provide leadership within the Design Engineering function and across other departments.
Manage technical ownership and content for the electro‑mechanical brake product portfolio.
Lead VAVE initiatives and product improvement activities within the Design Engineering department.
Prepare customer reports communicating verification and validation results related to new designs, changes, or deviations.
Work directly with customers on new applications and custom design solutions.
Prepare or oversee the development of accurate engineering drawings for new or revised designs.
Apply and oversee the use of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
Develop and apply in‑depth product knowledge to specific customer applications.
Utilize 3D solid modeling CAD software and finite element analysis (FEA) tools for product design and analysis.
Ensure adherence to all safety rules and report questionable conditions to management.
Travel up to 10% domestically, primarily to customer locations or other Regal Rexnord facilities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in product or process development involving industrial products; relevant internships and demonstrated accomplishments may be credited toward experience.
Strong willingness to work hands‑on to build, develop, and troubleshoot products and processes.
Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings, technical manuals, safety rules, professional publications, and government regulations.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and respond to questions from employees, managers, customers, and the public.
Proven ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
Manufacturing experience.
Experience with high‑reliability products, industrial automation, or export‑controlled products.
Proficiency in 3D modeling software, preferably SolidWorks.
