Assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for an assigned group of patients
Serve as a primary or accountable nurse based on unit assignment and patient safety needs
Educate patients and families on health promotion, treatment plans, and disease management
Utilize pharmacology knowledge to safely administer medications in accordance with UHS policies
Support effective resource use, including staffing, time management, supplies, and services
Adhere to all nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, and UHS policies
Participate in Nursing Shared Governance, Unit Council activities, and improvement initiatives
Contribute to peer review processes and integrate evidence‑based practice and nursing research
Provide a supportive learning environment for new employees, students, and clinical observers
Engage in ongoing professional development, continuing education, and mandatory training
Perform additional duties as assigned to support safe, effective patient care

Education & Experience
Minimum Required:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Preferred:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting
Licensure & Certifications
Current New York State Registered Nurse License
CCRN certification
Additional skills certifications as required (e.g., ACLS, PALS, TNCC)

Compensation Range:
$40.70 - $61.05 per hour, depending on experience
You will be eligible for benefits if you are hired into a regular position with at least 24 scheduled weekly hours.
