The Sr. Director of Engineering, Emerging Products, Product Engineering, will lead the technical strategy, execution, and operational integration of acquired technologies, teams, and platforms into 1Password's ecosystem.
This leader will play a critical role in helping 1Password scale through strategic acquisitions, ensuring acquired products and organizations are integrated thoughtfully, securely, and efficiently while preserving business continuity and accelerating customer value.
You will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Security, IT, Legal, Finance, and Executive Leadership teams to evaluate acquisition opportunities, assess technical risk, shape integration strategy, and drive post-acquisition execution across organizations. This role requires a unique combination of engineering leadership, organizational transformation experience, systems thinking, and strong cross-functional influence.
The ideal candidate has led organizations through large-scale platform modernization, multi-product integration, enterprise transformation, or post-merger integration efforts. You thrive in ambiguity, operate effectively across organizational boundaries, and know how to balance long-term architectural strategy with short-term business needs.
How we're using AI today
Our Engineering, Product, and Design teams are thoughtfully integrating AI across the full software and product development lifecycle to move faster without sacrificing quality or security. In practice, that looks like engineers using AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate reviews and catch bugs earlier, product managers synthesizing user research at scale, and designers rapidly prototyping and iterating with AI-generated mockups. We approach AI the same way we approach security: with clear principles, human accountability at every consequential decision point, and rigorous evaluation before anything ships to customers.
