Responsibilities
- The Business Manager handles a broad and versatile spectrum of tasks that flexibly need to adapt to changing market, regulatory and internal Evonik requirements. The core tasks include:
- Commercial responsibility for product & service offerings of the Business Line catering to the silica / silanes industry in the assigned territory
- Conduct business development activities relevant to the Business Line, including but not limited to, market sizing, in-market surveys, opportunity identification & development, and development of a business plan
- Develop and implement sales plans in line with defined top-down targets
- Manage direct accounts and distribution channels in the territory, maintenance of forecasts
- Develop and maintain working business relationships with customers, distributors, and other industry stakeholders in the territory
- Coordinate with global and regional key account managers to define and implement key account strategies
- Coordinate with global and regional Product Line stakeholders to define and implement market segment and product strategies
- Gather and report on relevant market and business information
- Coordinate technical support initiatives, such as training and seminars for the assigned accounts/territory
- Coordinate with colleagues responsible for business operations (order-to-cash, supply chain, finance, etc) for effective business operations
- Ensure effective management of key business processes and achievement of associated targets within the team, including IBP FC FCA, D365 Market Data, Opportunity Management, and Call Reports.
- Drive continuous improvement in NWC through proactive overdue account management, optimizing payment terms, and reducing Minimum Order Value (MOV) related business
- Acts in accordance with the Evonik Compliance guideline especially including trade compliance and SO17 requirement in co-ordination with relevant organizational interfaces and functions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in science is mandatory, with 5 to 10 years of sales experience in chemical industry
- A degree in Chemical Engineering/ master's in business administration is preferred
- Proven track record in functions such as Sales & Marketing, Business Development & Technical Development
- Proficiency in relevant IT tools & Microsoft applications
- Strong sense of ownership with a business & customer centric mindset
- Strong ability to effectively coordinate with internal & external stake holders to identify new business opportunities, analyze industry trends and develop strategies to achieve business targets
- Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia is a must with good oral and written English
- Willing to travel extensively within Indonesia
