New Faculty Opportunity - Center for Biobehavioral Health at Nationwide Children's Hospital The Center for Biobehavioral Health in the Abigail Wexner Research Institute at Nationwide Children's Hospital is seeking outstanding candidates for recruitment into a tenure track faculty position with a focus on biobehavioral and/or relevant areas of clinical/translational science. This recruitment is open to all faculty ranks within the tenure track. The mission of the Center for Biobehavioral Health is to achieve the best outcomes for children and families by conducting cutting-edge team science, translating scientific discoveries, and training the next generation of leaders in biobehavioral scientists. The new faculty member will have a PhD, MD, or MD/PhD and be expected to be an active participant in advancing this mission by establishing an impactful independent research program supported by extramural funding, developing basic and translational scientific collaborations, providing mentorship to colleagues, training the next generation of researchers, and participating in center activities. The specific area of research within pediatric biobehavioral research is flexible (e.g., e-health, neurodevelopment). Interdisciplinary work that involves the evaluation of innovative health interventions, dissemination and implementation science are strongly encouraged. Candidates must have a track record of high-quality publications and, preferentially, grant funding, which may include a K, R01, or equivalent award. Notably, all principal investigators in the Center for Biobehavioral Health are appointed as faculty of The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Faculty have access to colleagues and resources at both NCH and OSU campuses. Indeed, most faculty maintain appointments within the OSU graduate programs. The Abigail Wexner Research Institute is ranked in the top ten in NIH funding to free-standing children's hospitals. Research programs are organized into 15 multidisciplinary Institutes or Centers of Emphasis structured to encourage collaboration, facilitate team science and foster creativity with strengths in genomics, gene therapy, immunology, and bioinformatics and the integration of basic science and clinical care.
