What We Can Achieve Together: The Public Funding Manager, Enduring Earth (Manager) will work towards meeting the strategic priorities of the Enduring Earth partnership by developing and coordinating plans and related tactics, and overseeing day-to-day tasks related to public fundraising for PFPs. As TNC's primary point of contact for public fundraising efforts for PFPs, the Manager will coordinate with communicators, fundraisers, relationship managers of PSEs, external affairs staff and executive leaders across the organization to mobilize public resources for the PFP projects and partnerships. While serving as the public funding liaison on joint portfolio development and management, the Manager will have substantial contact with country and regional teams, counterparts in Philanthropy/Development, and other internal stakeholders. They will serve on the Enduring Earth Resource Mobilization Committee and other partnership working groups. The Public Funding Manager will also serve on internal steering committees and working groups for individual TNC-led PFPs. The Manager will work closely with the Public Funding Center to align their work with the One Conservancy Public Fundraising Strategy while building close partnerships with public fundraising teams within PFC, in the regional business units, in the global strategy teams, and with partner organizations. They will follow all policies and SOPs governing PSE engagement and will coordinate with relationship managers prior to any planned outreach to PSEs. With regional counterparts and relationship managers, and in partnership with Philanthropy/Development staff focused on private fundraising for PFPs, they will analyze public fundraising feasibility and develop and support implementation of fundraising plans for each TNC-led PFP. The Public Funding Manager will coordinate with TNC relationship managers to cultivate and solicit PSEs, and will effectively coordinate the joint public funding prospect portfolio, facilitate joint strategy calls and develop follow-up materials. They will coordinate development of concept notes, grant proposals and may act as a lead or supporting writer for public funding proposals. They will provide coordination support to keep multiple projects moving in a timely manner, meet deadlines, and manage supplemental materials required for proposals in consultation with budget and finance staff and other internal stakeholders. They will seek and synthesize information and communicate in a convincing and succinct form to all stakeholders. They will also participate in strategy and proposal development in collaboration with internal departments and teams to meet specific goals and funding targets. The Public Funding Manager shall use BBCRM and will support the management and maintenance of PFP public funding pipeline data and prioritized funding proposal support requests, as well as track projected or committed funds. They will collaborate with TNC's public grants specialists to build proposal budgets based on a strong understanding of organizational budgeting. Minimize legal risk to the Conservancy and ensure legal compliance with applicable state and local regulation.
