POSITION OBJECTIVE: Coordinate all logistics, customs, import, and export operations for the plant, ensuring regulatory compliance in the Dominican Republic (DGA, CNZF, and other authorities), documentation accuracy, on-time delivery, control of logistics costs, and effective communication with customs brokers, 3PLs/forwarders, carriers, and internal departments. Supervision of the FG Warehouse to ensure timely and accurate processing of Logistics activities (receiving/pick/pack/ship/cycle counts). Planning and coordination of imports and exports (air, ocean, and ground): from PO issuance to final delivery; bookings, 3PL coordination, transit follow-up, and release. Document control and compliance: verification of commercial invoice, packing list, BL/AWB, certificates of origin, permits/licenses; physical/digital filing; alignment with DGA and CNZF requirements when applicable. Tariff classification and permits: support in tariff determination and validation of regulatory requirements for new product/material families. Supervision of the FG Warehouse to ensure timely and accurate processing of logistics activities (receiving/pick/pack/ship/cycle counts) Shipment scheduling, tracking and visibility: monitoring status from Availability/Pickup to delivery (on-time), early alerts, and communication to impacted areas. External agent and supplier relations: handling discrepancies/documents, transportation incidents, damage/loss claims; coordination with customs brokers and carriers. Reports and KPIs: cycle times, on-time delivery, document accuracy, costs vs. budget, incidents, and 3PL performance. Logistics costs and invoicing: review and approval of freight invoices.
