Verafin - Senior Software Developer (Scenario Builder)

About the role

We're looking for a Senior Software Developer to join our AML Scenario Builder team , reporting to the Director - Software Development . In this role, you'll help build and improve the tools our customers use to create custom alert scenarios, making complex workflows easier to manage and scale. You'll work closely with teammates across engineering, product, and quality to turn ideas into reliable features, support evolving customer needs, and help shape a product that is still growing and expanding its impact !

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve tools for scenario and workflow creation .
• Shape solutions that make complex workflows easier for customers.
• Own end-to-end delivery of features from design to production.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver impactful new capabilities.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues across services and workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science , Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years experience building and maintaining production object-oriented software, with hands-on development in languages such as Java and Python.
• Experience designing and working with APIs and microservices .
• Experience improving system quality through testing, debugging, and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS.
