POSITION SUMMARY:
Speech therapy focuses on the improvement of language, communication, swallowing, and fluency. One of the most common symptoms that we treat is dysphagia, which refers to difficulty swallowing. Dysphagia can be caused by a stroke , multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, cancer , or healing from a physical injury, and can affect your tongue, mouth, throat, or esophagus.
Responsibilities
Documentation - Maintain a complete documentation of patient evaluations, treatment, progress, and discharge status; send required information to appropriate professionals.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders (may be MA, MS, Med).
Requirements
One (1) year of experience with the frail elderly population is preferred.
Compassionate, warm, and patient-focused.
Excellent organization and planning skills.

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
