The Equipment Engineer ensures consistent and reliable equipment operation aligned with safety, quality, productivity, and cost objectives. The role focuses on maintaining optimal equipment condition and driving continuous improvement in equipment performance, capability, and cost efficiency.
Responsibilities
Define and implement effective maintenance systems to reduce equipment breakdown occurrences.
Assess and improve the effectiveness of maintenance system implementation.
Develop, deploy and maintain skills upgrade training curriculum.
Generate and maintain eqpt operating procedure and specs to meet set equipment functions.
Provide technical resource to define and mitigate risk areas thru improvement in equipment maintenance methodologies.
Initiate and facilitate completion of breakdown occurrence (BDO) and quality improvement projects
Cost-to-maintain equipment and spare parts management.
Define and implement automated system to support equipment failures root cause analysis.
Monitor daily KPIs and dashboards to ensure equipment performance targets are met.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, with knowledge of semiconductor processes and/or material science.
Minimum of 8 years' experience in equipment engineering, preferably within semiconductor manufacturing.
Experience in Tooling equipment process, including process characterization, optimization, and troubleshooting.
Strong proficiency in SPC, DOE, FMEA, DFM, MRAT, change management, problem‑solving analysis, and lean manufacturing.
Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project) and analytical platforms such as SAS JMP or Minitab.
Skilled in data‑driven problem solving and capable of applying engineering solutions to improve yield, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Effective leadership, communication, and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
Strong interpersonal skills with a customer‑oriented attitude and innovative mindset.
