Ferring +You - Our collaboration You will join a small, highly dedicated team of process chemistry and drug substance manufacturing experts with a strong collaboration and teamwork culture. Your day at Ferring - Tasks where you are accountable As one of our Process Development Scientists, you will contribute to and gradually take responsibility for drug substance process development and optimization. This includes execution of small‑scale manufacturing activities and providing technical support to manufacturing at external partners (CMOs). Your main responsibilities will include: Performing laboratory‑based chemical synthesis with a strong focus on solid phase peptide synthesis (SPPS), including analytical work using HPLC and related techniques Planning, executing, and evaluating laboratory experiments, including Design of Experiments (DoE), while ensuring thorough and compliant documentation of experimental work Preparing, writing, and reviewing development, manufacturing, and technical documentation, including contributions to product‑specific knowledge matrices and QbD documentation Defining and documenting process parameters, set points, and operating ranges to support robust and scalable processes Supporting upscaling, technical transfer, and outsourced development and manufacturing activities at CMOs, as well as providing technical support to commercial products Behind our entrepreneurship ... there´s your skills You will bring a solid foundation in synthetic organic chemistry, with hands‑on experience in peptide and/or small molecule process development. You have worked with solid phase peptide synthesis (SPPS) and contributed to the optimization of peptide manufacturing processes, supported by practical experience using HPLC and HPLC‑MS analysis and, ideally, peptide purification techniques. You contribute scientific and laboratory expertise to development activities, supporting the design, execution, and documentation of robust and efficient processes. Working closely with project teams, you help ensure timely delivery of development milestones while continuing to build your technical skills in a collaborative and learning‑oriented environment. The skills you need to have: Have specialized in synthetic organic chemistry More than 3 years' experience of solid phase peptide synthesis and optimization of peptide manufacturing processes Experience with synthetic chemistry and Solid Phase Peptide Synthesis Hand-on experience with HPLC and HPLC-MS analysis Experience with peptide purification is a plus Experience in peptides and/or small molecule process development Hold a MSc in chemistry - or alternatively be an experienced Lab Technician English - Fluent in speaking and writing Become a part of Ferring - apply now If our mission and your vision are aligned, apply via the link in the job ad and include a short motivation in your CV.
