Responsibilities

- Evaluate cause, liability, and damage extent of the freight and equipment involved to identify opportunities for mitigation in order to resolve the claim.
- Notify internal teams, such as Sales, Customer Experience, and Operations, of reoccurring issues to determine root cause and mitigate future occurrences.
- Coordinate third-party adjusters to investigate claim circumstances, including, but not limited to, interviewing involved parties and conducting on-scene investigations into statutory responsibility while retaining and overseeing external experts, such as reconstructionist.
- Collaborate with legal counsel and other professionals for complex cases, providing insights and data to support legal proceedings.
- Train, mentor, coach, and onboard junior team members; assist management in coordinating tasks and training to improve department performance.
- Provide settlement authority within designated limits to junior team members to resolve outstanding claims.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- With 4-5 years of experience in Insurance, Claims, or Transportation/Logistics, or suitable combination of education, experience, and training, and/or military equivalent.
- Bachelor's Degree
- With 4-5 years combination of education, experience, and training.
- Ability to uphold a professional demeanor in all customer interactions, demonstrating empathy and patience in the face of challenging situations.
